Pau Hana

Kohala Big Island Hawaii Coastline by Stig Lindholm

Pau Hana

Around this time of the week – Thursday – we see rays of the weekend radiating up from a horizon of deadlines, routines and schedules; ‘Pau Hana’ will soon be with us. How are you going to make the most of your time off? Of course, if you’re enjoying your Hawaii vacations then every day is the weekend.

In Tuesday’s blog I introduced the concept of ‘Lifestyle,’ and that to each of us it is what it is: if basking in the sun on silver sand does it for you then that’s fine, although Hawaii vacations offer much more than that.

As well as sharing with visitors to our website the best Hawaii deals in Big Island real estate, I will also elaborate on the term ‘Lifestyle’ to include Hawaiian culture, environment, nature, activities and news regarding forthcoming community events. Existing residents please bear with me on this, as you will already be familiar with some of the content. Then again, I’m sure I will occasionally shed light on some previously unknown gem.

As for visitors looking for Hawaii vacation rentals and Hawaii condos, or potential residents in search of Hawaii real estate – Hawaii rental, or Hawaii homes for sale, pay special attention, some of the information might influence your choice of location; Hawaii is amazingly diverse with surprises at hand for us all. Every day holds the promise of a new experience.

The coast north from the Hawaii resorts on the Kohala coast up to Kawaihae, and beyond would provide weekends of entertainment: snorkeling, diving, kayaking, canoe paddling, whale watching – to mention a few, with a host of heritage sites and an abundance of dining opportunities, and, on clear days, views of the neighboring island of Maui.

‘Pau Hana’ (Pow HAH-nah) translates into English as ‘end, or finish, of work.’ It can refer to any day during the week but generally celebrates the approaching weekend – Hawaii’s version of TGIF. Ensure you make the most of yours.
